Could happen if you double click. Only click once. What browser are you using? Is it a mac or pc? I haven't experienced this problem myself. As for logging in, try clearing cookies and other temp files if you don't have anything saved of interest. You can also do this selectively and manually by exp...

18.6 grams 1902 lbs

Here is a first for me. 7.5 inches 3 part structure, 102.258 ratio. It would have held more if I wouldn't have pinched my fingers on the last weight. I've heard of two 100 ratios before on 1 part structures but this is a first for multi-part structures. If this were the odd pod or last years OotM pr...

Logging in

I almost never log in since I use the same computers every day. Even if I close the window it comes back logged in again. Only when I have a spammer try and sign up do I have to log in (equivalent to everyone’s logging in twice) to edit the site. As long as you use the same computer you should sta...

New balsa WR

So it took me 14 years to get a ratio this high but here it is: 104.235 pounds per gram of balsa was achieved today on a free standing balsa structure:

Shrinking Balsa

I have heard of balsa expanding and contracting in width -- that was evident in the It's a Snap problem in OotM but what about the length in compression? I had a tower today at 7.275 inches tall and after the weights were removed it measured 7.150 inches. During testing it shrank to 7.042 inches. I ...

Bending balsa alternatives

Try soaking and steaming the balsa. If that doesn't work then just use thinner balsa and laminate it together.

Look before Post

I had originally wanted it that way but decided against it since it would not be as attractive if the wait was 24-48 hours between posts sometimes. If needed I can have one like that implimented though.

Post Edit

Edit feature is now disabled. Here's why: I read every post and if someone were to edit the post after I saw it how could I claim to be fully monitoring the site? What if someone posted and I read it and then they edited the post so it had OA on and I did not know about it I would feel bad. I have o...

Bobcat Carving Picture

Garrett,

The picture is from my neighbor who carves things out of basswood. It's an example of how to use basswood. I have a carving out of balsa wood from a customer that I might put on my front page -- haven't decided yet though.

Old SBW LLC Site

The current site that opens for my business site is my "old business site." My new site is being designed now but I had my designer work on launching the discussion site first. New prices will be available once the new business site is launched. Look for incredible savings!
